- Munich is in the Bavarian region of Germany, where Beer is part of their food, and even for breakfast.
- Munich was spared of being burnt down by King Gustav of Sweden, in exchange for 6,00,000 barrels of Hofbräu beer. It is also said that they used the same brand of beer to douse a fire in the opera.
- Old town of Munich is closed to traffic since 1972 for the Munich Olympic games.
- The Famous October fest actually is in September and ends in October. The popular tunes played here is “Country roads” by John Denver. A young Einstein is supposed to have worked here fixing lights.
- There are 30 Beer gardens in Munich. You cannot walk or jog in these gardens but have beers and be served here.

- The oldest cinema in the world, the Neues Kino Gabriel exists in Munich since its opening in 1906.
- The citizen of Munich in 2004, voted that no buildings be taller than a 100 Meters, so as to keep the skyline clear. This is to keep clear Munich’s historic monumental buildings.
- Olympiapark in Munich, is where you can get a bird’s eye view of the city, is actually made from the rubble left behind from World War II.
- Jimi Hendrix originated his signature guitar smashing in Munich.
