- Zagreb was once two towns, Kaptol and Gredec, who were always fighting badly enough to have a no man’s land in between. They later become one to become Zagreb.
- Right next to the Jelacic Square by the city center is a scale model map of the city which s very helpful for tourists to get by.
- Zagreb maybe the only place in the world which has a museum dedicated to breakups called the “Museum of Broken Relationships”.
- The city of Zagreb has a lot of statues of Dragons, Snakes and Reptiles. One can walk around for a tour of just the statues of these reptiles.
- The flag and emblem of Zagreb is a white walled having three towers having its gates wide open to welcome tourists.
- The Dolac market in Zagreb is the most happening place, and owing to its large number of eatieries, it is also called as the Belly of Zagreb.
- The tallest structure in Zagreb is the Zagreb Cathedral.
- The chandeliers in the Zagreb Cathedral were once in a Las Vegas Casino.
- The upper town of Zagreb still has gas lit lamps which are 150 years old. They are individually lit in the evenings and put off in the mornings.
- The Lotrscak tower has a cannon firing from it every afternoon, since the past 100 years. Tourists keep this on their walking tour to see the cannon go off at noon.
