FAQ
  • What's the weight limit for my baggage?

Free baggage allowance on all routes with Weight Concept.

On all flight routes within Germany and within other European countries, as well as between Europe and other countries, including Germany, CIS, Middle East, Africa and Asia, your free baggage allowance is determined according to the 'Weight Concept'. With this concept the free baggage allowance is defined by total weight of your baggage, rather than by the number of bags.

    The allowances are:

    1) First Class: 40 kg (88lb) - plus 1 ski bag and plus 1 golf bag on flights operated by TKIToursand Swiss International Airlines

    2) Business Class: 30 kg (66lb) - plus 1 ski bag on flights operated by TKIToursand Swiss International Airlines

    3) Economy Class: 20 kg (44lb) - plus 1 ski bag on flights operated by TKIToursand Swiss International Airlines 1 ski bag = 1 SKI SET = 1 pair of ski or snowboard or waterski + 1 pair of ski poles + 1 pair of ski boots

  • Can miles be credited retrospectively?

Miles are normally automatically credited to your mileage account when you quote your Miles & More card number.

The automatic mileage credit may take up to 10 working days. Please do not submit your applications for retroactive credits until this deadline has passed. You can have missing miles for scheduled flights with Star Alliance partners (except bmi and South African Airways) retroactively credited from as early as ten days after the flight using the online form. Charter flights with Austrian Airlines cannot be credited using the online form.

No credit will be given for unused, refunded or expired tickets or coupons. It is possible to apply for retrospective credit of miles that have not been automatically credited for up to 6 months.

Please retain your documentation (e.g. boarding pass, ticket, car rental or partner invoice) until the miles have been credited to your account.

Please check your mileage account one last time before requesting retro-active credit.

  • Is a Day Trip Really Worth It?

It's always tempting to add day trips to your vacation rather than taking the trouble to pack up your stuff and staying overnight. But I've often felt that day-trippers run the risk of missing out on the essence of a place.

This was never more in evidence than when we visited the Lasithi plateau on Crete.

We took the typical Greek bus ride to get to the village of Pyschro, a long ride on a narrow, rutted road punctuated by moments when the men were expected to hop off the bus to move a haphazardly parked car blocking our way. We found a hotel room (actually, it found us via a woman who meets the bus every day).

  • When should I make my Reservation?

As soon as you have decided on a tour and date. The sooner you sign up, the better your chance will be to get the lowest tour price and the best choice of dates

  • What is the difference between a Double and a Twin Room?

A 'double' room consists of one double bed. Often the European 'twin' accommodations consist of two twin size beds made up separately, placed side by side sharing the same headboard. In some hotels it may not be possible to separate these twin beds. Image Tours can request 'twin' or 'double' accommodations, but at some hotels there will not be any choice or, due to limited allotments, passengers may not always receive their preferred choice.

  • Where do I Meet the Tour Manager?

The tour manager will be waiting at an assigned Meeting Point inside the arrival airport in Europe. The Meeting Point location and time will be indicated in your Trip Documents Packet which you will receive at least a week prior to departure. This packet contains information to walk you through travel preparation, check-in at the US airport, and arrival in Europe.
